Why Your Workouts Feel So Much Harder Now

Hi friends,

I had one of those moments in the gym last week.

Same exercises I’ve done before.
Same coach.
Same structure.

And my body responded like it had never seen a squat in its life.

My legs were shaking. My energy dropped faster than expected. And halfway through I had that very humbling thought of:

“Ugh, WHY does this feel so much harder than it used to?” (I know the answer and I still said this to myself.  It feels so unfair.)

Now, I could blame the month of travel.
Or the drop sets. (honestly… mostly the drop sets 😅)

But this is also something I hear from women all the time:

“I’m eating right.  I'm working out.  I haven't changed anything in my routine… but my body just isn’t responding the same way.”

Less strength.
More fatigue.
Weight and body changes that suddenly feel very… stubborn.

And the default reaction is almost always the same:

Try harder. Eat less. Push more. Be more disciplined.

But that’s usually not the problem.

During perimenopause and menopause, your body becomes more sensitive to stress, recovery demands, and how you train.

Estrogen fluctuations impact muscle, recovery, and how your body responds to load.

So the workouts that worked beautifully your ENTIRE life up until this point-they no longer translate the same way anymore.

Not because you’re doing something wrong.

But because your body is operating under a different set of rules now.

And if you don’t adjust the model… you end up working harder for less return.

That’s exactly why I created this workshop:

“Why Your Body Isn’t Responding to Workouts Anymore — And the Strength Model That Fixes It.”

Inside, I’ll walk you through:
• What’s actually changing hormonally
• Why your current workouts may be falling flat
• How to shift your training so you can build strength, support energy, and start seeing progress again.  Hint: This is my expertise as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and the #1 element missing from all the menopause information out there.

• And most importantly- I'm going to give you a space to connect and discuss.  We don't have to do this alone!

This isn’t about doing less.

It’s about doing what actually works for your body now.

👉 You can register here: Sign me up!

And just to put this into perspective —

It’s $67.

That’s:
• Less than a single personal training session
• Less than a massage
• Less than most people spend on fitness classes in a month

For 90 minutes of understanding exactly what your body needs right now.

If your workouts feel harder, less effective, or just… off —

This is the piece most women are missing.

Back To Normal...But Not The Same
Hi friends, I KNOW you’ve all been sitting on the edge of your seats waiting for the conclusion of the flower girl dress saga. Well… it all worked out. Adina looked absolutely flower-girl perfect in the dress we found. And I knew it was the winner the moment she put it on and started twirling in front of every mirror she passed. You know the kind of twirl — the full “does this spin properly?” q...
I Tried Everything to Fix This Dress (More effort wasn’t the solution. Sound familiar?)
Hi friends, We’re coming to the end of our one-month stay in the US. Don’t get me wrong — I love coming home to see friends and family, living with the convenience of Amazon, and being able to buy basically any ingredient I want at the grocery store. But I cannot wait to drag this dry, scaly skin and permanently runny nose (ughh) straight into the Caribbean Sea when we return next week. But bef...
A Sled in Barbados Is Useless (So is your old workout plan in perimenopause.)
Hi friends, This little Caribbean family has been freezing our tuckas off for the last few weeks. NYC.Baltimore.Now southwestern Pennsylvania with my mom — where I’m currently wearing a turtleneck, wool socks, and what can only be described as emotional-support-level slippers. (At home, my “house shoes” are Birkenstocks.) The Northeast was forecasted to get a massive snowstorm this week. We wer...
