Your Body Changed.

Your Workouts Need to Catch Up

Strength training that works with your body

My Philosophy

YOUR BODY IS GIVING YOU INFORMATION.

Movement teaches you how to read it.

I use movement to help you build body literacy: understanding what your body needs, how those needs change, and how to train accordingly.

Joanie Johnson teaches women how to understand, trust, and strengthen their changing bodies through movement, strength training, and body literacy.

How I Help

YOUR TRAINING SHOULD EVOLVE WITH YOU.

Women move through enormous physiological changes across a lifetime. I help you understand what's happening, adjust your training, and keep getting stronger through all of it.

Puberty
Build strength, coordination, and confidence in a growing, changing body

Pregnancy
Stay strong and supported as your body shifts—without second-guessing what’s safe

Postpartum
Reconnect to your core, rebuild strength, and feel like yourself again

Perimenopause & Menopause
Help your body respond again with smarter strength, better recovery, and less guesswork

And yes, I train men too.

Women’s bodies are my specialty. Men just come with fewer plot twists!

Regardless of your life stage or gender, the same individualized approach applies: understand the body in front of me, train for what it needs, and adapt as things change.

Why I Do This

I'VE SPENT MY LIFE STUDYING BODIES IN MOTION.

First as a dancer. Now as a coach.

I spent more than a decade as a professional modern dancer before pregnancy completely changed the way I understood my own body. That curiosity eventually became my work: helping other people understand theirs.

Now, in my 40s, I'm watching the rules change again—and I'm still learning right alongside you.
