My Spanish is still terrible, but my heart is full 🇵🇦💛

Hola mi amigo!
(Yes, I’m still prouncing my Spanish all wrong. Yes, Adina still corrects me. No, I will not stop.)

After a month of bouncing between Mexico City, Cuernavaca, Oaxaca, and now Panama… I did something wild this week:
I sat in front of actual, real-life women and taught in person.

No Zoom squares. No muted mics. No “wait, you froze.”
Just humans. Faces. Smiles. Nods.
And it felt so good — this whole month has been about connection in the best possible ways:

✨Exploring Mexico City and celebrating Día de los Muertos with family

✨A huge, magical, family wedding in Cuernavaca

✨ Two weeks in a worldschooling hub in Oaxaca where Adina, Micah and I made awesome new friends from all over the world

✨ And now staying with our old Brooklyn crew in Panama — the kind of friends where you walk in the door and immediately forget that 5 years have passed

It feels like life cracked open a little.
Like we hit a new chapter without even meaning to.
More community. More conversations. More living.

And this week's perimenopause workshop was the final reminder I needed:
We are not meant to do any of this alone.
Not motherhood.
Not midlife.
Not fitness.
Not figuring out why your hormones are suddenly all over the place.

When I sat with those five women at a beautiful beach bar, talking openly about the hot flashes, the “is this normal?” moments, the confusion — you could feel the relief in the group.
That exhale of “OMG… SAME.”

And coaching is the same way.
We do better when we have someone in our corner reminding us:

💛 You’re not broken.
💛 You’re not behind.
💛 And your body isn’t fighting you — it’s communicating.

As a corrective exercise specialist, I see this every day:
Most people aren’t failing their goals…
They’re missing the support, the structure, and the tiny (but mighty) adjustments that actually make change happen.

Which is exactly why I created:

✨ THE POWER PROJECT ✨

8 weeks. 1 goal. Follow through — finally.
Doors are officially OPEN!

If you have a goal that keeps sliding to “next month”…
If your body’s sending you little SOS signals (hi hip pain, hi leaking, hi tight shoulders)…
If you want someone to help you re-pattern your movement and hold you accountable in a way that feels loving, not shame-y…
This is your moment.

The Power Project gives you:
✔️ 1:1 corrective exercise coaching
✔️ Weekly group sessions + support
✔️ A community of women walking the same road
✔️ A plan designed for your body, not a random YouTube algorithm

If this month taught me anything, it’s this:
We thrive when we feel connected.
Supported.
Seen.
And maybe when we eat a few tacos along the way. 🌮

You can learn more and grab your spot: HERE
I can’t wait to support you inside.

Sending big hugs from Panama —

Winter Really Chaps My...everything
Hi friends,   The Rubins are living life on the road again.    Four days in NYC. Currently in Baltimore. Pennsylvania next week. Ohio after that.   It’s the year of bar mitzvahs and weddings and extended family everything. Normally, I love an extended travel stretch. Except this time?   It’s cold.   And not “oh, I need a light sweater” cold. It’s “why does air hurt my face?” cold.   We haven’t ...
Edible.  But not delicious.
Hi friends, It’s the end of the week, which means market day is tomorrow. And if I’m unlucky enough to be cooking on a Friday night, there is a very real chance I am making a meal that only loosely resembles the recipe I originally planned. If you know me, you know I LOVE a meal plan.Like… emotionally attached to a meal plan. (I have a dedicated Google Calendar just for dinners. This is not a jo...
When life hands you lemons...you cry.
Hi friends, This week’s lesson was a masterclass in resilience, pivots, and not panicking when the plan falls apart — taught by a 9-year-old with a lemonade stand. My daughter has become laser-focused over the last few weeks on running a lemonade stand. Not a casual “set up a table and see what happens” situation. No. A vision. A brand. A location. A sunset vibe. (It’s been named Last Light Lem...
